What is the Social Response Pyramid?™
The Social Response Pyramid™ is an educational tool developed by Laurel Falvo (formerly known as Laurel Hoekman). It is a visual representation of social understanding and social effectiveness--how we can better understand ourselves and others (including those with ASD) in order to develop and utilize strategies to increase the effectiveness of our responses. Although the Pyramid is a relatively new resource (Laurel has been training parents and professionals with this resource since 2007, but only began using it with students in 2009), many customers have reported exciting success in using the Pyramid to explain social concepts and promote social effectiveness with a variety of students.
