Michelle Winner
Michelle Garcia Winner, MA, CCC is a speech language pathologist
specializing in the treatment of students with social cognitive deficits,
including diagnoses such as Autism, Asperger Syndrome and non-verbal learning disorder. She has a private practice in San Jose, California
where she works with clients and consults with families and schools.
She also travels internationally giving workshops. Michelle has written
four books, created social thinking posters for the classroom, and produced Social Thinking Across the Home and School Day (DVD/VHS, The
Gray Center, 2003). Michelle’s goal is to help educators and parents
appreciate how social thinking and social skills are an integral part of students’
academic and social experiences, and enable them to help students learn these
abstract lessons.
